Bloom

Inspired by the beauty of nature, a recurring inspiration for Bodo Sperlein, Bloom is an experiment of colour, shadow and light. Each wall application is crafted in mouth-blown glass; colour gradients move through the forms in organic flows, the natural surface texture of the glass remaining visible to amplify every shift in light and shadow.

Set in filigree metalwork that recalls historic leaded glazing, the pieces occupy the space between natural form and architectural detail, floating light sculptures that are as much about what surrounds them as what they are.

Bloom is part of Bodo Sperlein's first comprehensive collaboration with the Gustav van Treeck workshops, among the most important mosaic and glass studios in Europe.
