These terms outline the basis on which Bodo Sperlein Ltd (Unit 2.05-2.06, OXO Tower Wharf, London SE1 9PH) provides information and accepts enquiries for products. By contacting us via telephone, email, or through our website at www.bodosperlein.com, you agree to these terms and conditions.
While this website is designed for enquiries, we do not sell products directly from this platform. All sales are processed via Shopify or other authorised methods.
Products
Products are described as accurately as possible on the website. While we strive for clarity and accuracy, variations in colour, material, or size may occur due to the nature of hand-crafted or bespoke items. Bodo Sperlein Ltd will not be liable for any minor discrepancies or errors in product descriptions.
Products are provided without warranties unless explicitly stated by manufacturers.
Orders and Pricing
Placing Orders:
Orders must be placed via authorised methods (e.g., Shopify, email, or phone). Customers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of order details.Pricing:
Prices are subject to change and will be updated on the relevant platform accordingly.
Taxes and delivery charges are applied at checkout, based on the destination.
International Orders: Import duties, taxes, or fees may apply. These are the responsibility of the customer, who should consult local customs authorities before purchase.
Payment:
Payments must be made via accepted payment methods. For purchases using Klarna, additional terms may apply (see Klarna’s privacy and payment policies).
Delivery
Dispatch Timelines:
Products are typically dispatched within 5 working days (subject to stock availability). Handcrafted or bespoke items may take 6-8 weeks. Customers will be notified of delays and provided options to proceed or cancel.
Delivery Timelines:
UK: 5 working days
EU/USA/Canada: Up to 7 working days
Rest of the World: Up to 10 working days
Delivery dates are estimates and not binding. We do not ship to PO Boxes or similar restricted addresses.
Ownership and Risk:
Ownership transfers upon delivery. Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer at this time.
Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
Returns:
Damaged or broken items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Include “Returns Request” in your email subject, along with your name, order number, and requested resolution (refund or replacement).
Items must be returned within 5 working days.
Refunds:
Refunds for approved returns will be processed within 30 days, subject to stock availability and the returned item’s condition.Cancellations:
Orders can be cancelled within 14 days of receipt under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. Items must be returned in resalable condition. Shipping costs for returning items are non-refundable.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property on this site, including design, text, imagery, and layout, is owned by or licensed to Bodo Sperlein Ltd. Use of this material without prior consent is prohibited.
Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., business losses, profit losses) arising from product use or purchase.
Liability is limited to the purchase price of the product, except for personal injury or death caused by negligence.

Shipping Policy
Dispatch Notification: You will receive an email once your order has been dispatched.
Delivery Times:
UK: 5 working days
Europe, USA, and Canada: up to 7 working days
Rest of the world: up to 10 working days
Delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. We cannot deliver to PO boxes, APO, or FPO addresses.
Stock and Production:
Orders are subject to stock availability. Out-of-stock items, especially handmade products, may require a lead time of up to 6–8 weeks. You will be notified if delays occur and given the option to proceed or cancel the order for a full refund within 48 hours of notice.
For out-of-stock items, please note a 7-working-day period before we can place a restocking order with manufacturers.
Ownership and Responsibility:
Ownership of items transfers to you upon delivery. After delivery, items are held at your own risk, and we are not liable for loss or damage.Shipping Cost Adjustments:
Delivery prices may change due to courier fuel surcharges or other factors. Any changes will apply to new orders placed after the adjustments.
If your order does not arrive within a reasonable time, please contact us at info@bodosperlein.com, and we will work to resolve the issue promptly.
Please note that, as a matter of company policy and due to our confidentiality agreements with suppliers, we do not participate in First Sale Rule customs arrangements and are unable to disclose manufacturer invoices or workshop pricing.

We only use the highest quality materials for our products that are long-lasting and durable, including marble, wood, bronze, fine bone china and silver.

You can place an order the items available through our shop, adding items to your basket and checkout. Make sure to correctly add in your delivery address so that the items make their way to you as smoothly as possible.
For furniture and lighting, please send us an email to info@bodosperlein.com with the item name, the finish you require and the location for delivery and we will get back to you as soon as possible. If the product is for commercial/interior design purposes please state this in the email.

We accept most debit and credit cards, including Amex, Visa and Mastercard, and PayPal.

You can modify your store order within 24 hours of placing it by contacting us at info@bodosperlein.com and we will aim to modify your order. You can cancel your order within 24 hours of placing the order by sending us an email requesting a refund and we will process it as soon as possible.

All orders are shipped with a standard courier, you will receive a tracking email once the order has been dispatched. For any orders from our online store, the delivery times can be between 2-6 weeks, depending on the collection and the stock in the workshop. For any orders of Nikko tableware, delivery times can range between 3-12 weeks as the products are shipped from our Japan workshop.
The delivery times are based on the workshop as store products are coming from Germany, Mexico, Spain, Japan and Austria. We do not stock all items at our studio in London.
Delivery times for furniture and lighting are subject to the nature of the piece, whether it is bespoke, and the workshop. This can range between 6-8 weeks on average as each piece is made to order.

We ship all of our products internationally, the costs of shipping are calculated by weight of the order and the delivery address.

Once an order has been delivered you have 14 days from the day of delivery to request a return, or to exchange a damaged product. After this time, we cannot issue refunds or exchanges.
Please note that the return policy does not apply to bespoke orders.

You can browse our tableware and silverware collections, and a small selection of furniture and lighting at our showroom in London (for a full address see our contact us page), or at selected stores internationally. You can see a few of the Contourline furniture pieces at 88 Gallery in London. If you would like to see the wood, fine bone china or wallpaper options that can also be seen fi you visit our showroom in London.

Most of the tableware, furniture and lighting designs can be made bespoke to your specifications. If you would like to discuss a bespoke design please send us an email to studio@bodosperlein.com outlining your requirements and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

You do not need to book an appointment with us to visit, you can stop by between 10am-6pm Monday to Friday in the Oxo Tower London.
