RAUM UND WOHNEN
In a multi-page retrospective in their annual Kitchen & Bathroom edit, Raum und Wohnen takes an in-depth look at Bodo Sperlein's MENU exhibition, presented during Milan Design Week 2026.
With a particular focus on Swiss brands Orea and Morath Design, the feature explores how Sperlein transformed the historic All Saints Anglican Church in the heart of Milan's Brera Design District into an immersive environment where architecture, craftsmanship and materiality merged.
The article highlights the debut of the S2-Line kitchen, developed by Bodo Sperlein for Orea. Evolving from the original S-Line, the sculptural kitchen introduces a softer, more organic interpretation of the contemporary kitchen, balancing architectural presence with refined functionality.
Completing the installation, Morath's bespoke stainless steel structures and architectural wall panels became integral to the exhibition itself.
Also featured is Cove, Sperlein's outdoor kitchen for Gravelli. Crafted from architectural concrete with a sweeping, monolithic form, the three-metre-long design is conceived as a sculptural object rather than a conventional kitchen.
