  • Founded by Bodo Sperlein in 2000, the studio is based at Oxo Tower Wharf on London's South Bank. Trained at the University of the Arts London, Bodo has spent over two decades building a practice defined by material precision and a quiet confidence in craft. Work from the studio is held in permanent museum collections and appears on tables in Michelin-starred restaurants around the world..

  • Every project starts with research — into material, history, and the specific logic of what is being made. The studio works at the intersection of traditional techniques and contemporary sensibility, looking for the tension between the two rather than smoothing it over. The result is work that has a reason to exist and is made to last.

  • The studio's output spans collections — furniture, lighting, tableware, wallpaper, textiles — alongside art direction, exhibition design, and bespoke commissions. For clients, this extends to consultancy: product strategy, creative direction, and brand positioning for manufacturers who want to reach new audiences without losing what makes them distinctive.

  • The studio collaborates with leading international manufacturers across furniture, lighting, tableware, and textiles. Recent partners include Meissen, Lobmeyr, Dibbern, GAN Rugs, LZF Lamps, Schotten & Hansen, and Gravelli — brought together most visibly through the studio's annual Menu exhibition at Milan Design Week, which Bodo has curated since 2024. Longer-standing relationships with brands such as Dior, Swarovski, Mulberry, and Nikko reflect the studio's position across both luxury fashion and design manufacturing.
