HOMO FABER

During the month of September, the Canvas Vase, designed by Bodo Sperlein for Lladró, was on display at the lucrative Homo Faber in Venice.

As part of the display 'A Feast of Light', staged by Art Director Es Devlin and curated by the Michelangelo Foundation, the Vase is a monochromatic tribute to light and texture, featuring delicate porcelain flowers which have been handcrafted by Lladró artists in Valencia.

The Exhibition ‘An Island of Light’, which the vase was a part of, looks at the importance of the relationship between light, materials, and the hand that shapes them.

Held across Fondazione Giorgi Cini, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the exhibit allowed thousands of visitors to view the vase, as well as other incredible objects that encourage the indispensability of craftsmanship within the design world.

The Exhibition will run from September 1 - 30th 2026
