Meissen
For over 300 years, Meissen has been crafting porcelain of exceptional quality, renowned for its purity. Drawing on its rich heritage and the craftsmanship passed down through the manufactory, it creates porcelain works that meet the highest standards of exclusivity and individuality.
Meissen and internationally renowned designer Bodo Sperlein are presenting their first joint collaboration at Milan Design Week. The result is two collections that radically rethink traditional Meissen porcelain while preserving its artisanal essence.
Sperlein, who is known for his keen understanding of materiality, craftsmanship, and timeless form, designs objects with lasting value; pieces that are created not for trends, but for generations. His works always straddle the line between sculpture and function and are characterised by a calm, architectural clarity.
In dialogue with Meissen more than 300 years of porcelain tradition, he explores in this collaboration how classic typologies can be transformed and recharged.
