Moiré Saucers

In collaboration with the historic companies Lobmeyr and Meissen, the Moiré saucers have been created as the perfect accompaniment to the Moiré glasses. Precisely designed to fit the glasses, the saucers incorporate the distinctive Moiré shadow as a permanent design feature.

The term “Moiré,” derived from the French meaning “to water,” refers to the shimmering, wave-like texture traditionally found in silk. Translated into glass, this effect elevates the design, creating a mesmerising interplay of light and shadow. With the pattern embedded directly into the saucers, this unique visual effect becomes a constant presence, independent of changing light conditions.

Inspired by the revival of the historic Moiré silk-weaving technique, these springtime pieces serve as elegant conversation objects, celebrating both heritage craftsmanship and contemporary design.
