Exploring the intersection of heritage and contemporary design, Bodo Sperlein's collections for TANE reimagined the role of silver within the modern home. Commissioned to revitalise and modernise Mexico's premier luxury silversmith, owned by the Baillères family as part of Grupo BAL, Bodo established a new creative direction for the historic house, developing contemporary collections of silver for a younger luxury audience.

Founded in 1942, TANE occupies a unique position within Mexican design and craftsmanship. Renowned for its master silversmiths and exceptional artisanal expertise, the company produced some of the most complex hollowware and exhibition pieces for Tiffany & Co. New York for more than two decades. As part of Grupo BAL, whose portfolio includes the world's largest silver producer, Fresnillo, TANE remains deeply connected to Mexico's cultural heritage and the country's rich silver tradition.

Combining sterling silver with materials such as recinto stone and walnut hardwood, Bodo's collections honour TANE's enduring legacy while introducing a refined contemporary aesthetic. The pieces celebrate the authenticity, craftsmanship, and ceremonial value of silver, re-establishing it as a material for modern living and creating objects designed to be treasured for generations.
