StudioBodo Sperlein

Established in 2001, Bodo Sperlein has an extensive knowledge of materials ranging from bone china, to precious metals and varieties of hardwood. This knowledge is an integral part of our design process as we pride ourselves on upholding traditional methods of making and the skills of craftspeople from all over the world. We endeavour to give a 21st century voice to time honoured materials.

When closely collaborating with heritage brands, we build upon the existing strengths and maintain the brand’s DNA when designing collections and devising detailed art direction for marketing campaigns. This enables individual brands to reposition themselves in an ever evolving and increasingly demanding market. 


As part of our own brand refresh, drawing upon key elements of our design language, London based identity, print and digital designers Gunter & Piekarski developed a visual identity that illustrates the core values of our studio. Carefully considering all aspects of our creative agency, G&P established a bespoke logo typeface, website, infographics and brand materials. See more over on Brand Identity. 

As advocates of historical craft skills, our business cards and complimentary slips have been black foil pressed by Avenue Litho using the finest GF Smith materials.
